Sometimes the best part of creating is having no idea where it will take me.
In my first journal, I wrote about still finding myself through art. I still am. But something has changed: I am learning to believe in the process, even when I cannot see the outcome.
I often sit down to draw without a perfect plan. Maybe I have a color in mind, a shape, or a little idea that caught my attention during the day.
And then something unexpected happens. A brush makes a mark I didn’t expect. Two colors meet in a beautiful way. A simple doodle becomes something completely different. I love those little surprises.
For a long time, I thought creating something meaningful meant knowing exactly what I wanted to make. But the more I explore art, the more I realize that curiosity can be just as valuable as a plan.
I enjoy trying unfamiliar brushes, experimenting with different mediums, and discovering techniques along the way. Sometimes I create something I love. Sometimes I laugh because it turned out nothing like I imagined. But I learned something either way.
I don’t want every line to be perfect. I want my artwork to have personality, movement, warmth, and a little unexpected character.

My little Mindful Moment illustration reminds me of that: pause, enjoy what is in front of you, and allow yourself to be present.
I am still learning, still experimenting, and still discovering new things that make me happy. I may not know where every idea will lead, but I believe that showing up, making something, and staying curious matters.
Because sometimes the most beautiful part of art isn’t the finished picture. It’s the joy of discovering what happens along the way.
With love and curiosity,
